Muddy Junction

where two streams come together to make a new river

 Austin, Texas

Muddy Junction  is  Americana vocalist/songwriter George DeVore, and slide guitarist /songwriter Harry Bodine.

I had been working with John Magnie and Steve Amedee of The Subdudes a few years back.  We recorded 7 new songs that were left unfinished.  I decided to go back and finish up the tracks last year and I brought in George DeVore to do the lead vocals . This turned out to be good choice as George's Americana voice brought some great energy to the songs.   We then decided to release the songs under the name “Muddy Junction”.

Harry Bodine's songwriting and swampy slide guitar have earned him praise from the likes of Bobby Whitlock, Delaney Bramlett, Steve James, Papa Mali, Derek O'Brian, .

Since the release of his first CD, “Which Way Home” , Harry has been steadily gaining a wide fan base in the United States and Europe.

Harry's 2nd release "Travellin' The Southland"  features John Magnie and Steve Amedee of "The Subdudes", adding their distinct harmonies as well as piano, drums and percussion.

Harry has opened shows for The Subdudes, The Radiators, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Delbert McClinton and Aaron Neville, to name a few.  Harry has been a featured artist at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival.

Harry was the guitarist / songwriter for the band Delta Roux, which released 2 CD's on the German label “Taxim Records”.

George DeVore has made a mark with a worldly voice, honest songs, and a stage presence that caused Playboy to name him a "Pop-Powerhouse".

George has been recognized by The Austin Music Awards in top five categories, including rock, pop and male vocalist.

The power of his positive rock has garnered a growing following with much-anticipated local shows at the Saxon Pub, Stubb's and Antone's.  DeVore's solid  songwriting, boosted by textural musicianship and that evocative voice made his CD releases: "Wonderland" and "Four Under Par" pure gold.
